I love going out in the cold and slipping into my 104 degree hot tub in wintertime, it's an amazing feeling to feel the cold on your face while the rest of your body is soaking in hot swirling, soothing water. My wife and I just love it and look forward to using our hot tub every night during the fall and winter.... Where do you find relaxation during the cold winter months? We find it in our hot tub in New Hampshire

People worry about using their hot tub outdoors during the cold winter, but all our fears melted away the first time we sat in the hot tub on a snowy day. The heat from the steam rising up off the hot water keeps your shoulders and head warm. Sometimes you can wear a hat if it is windy out but usually it’s not needed. It can be a little challenging getting from the house to the tub without feeling the nippy air, so I wear a warm robe and flip-flops and dash very quickly!  We keep our tub water quite warm in the winter— around 104°. So with a very thick, insulated cover to keep the water hot and ready makes anytime a great time to take a dip in our hot tub.

We have been slipping into our hot tub every chance we get. It really helps relieve all the muscle aches that my body experiences due to my MS.The winters in New Hampshire and Maine can be very cold but I am finding that the hydro-therapy not only relieves aches and pains but it also releases stress and helps me sleep better at night, so I don't mind the little bit of cold. You feel so relaxed and ready for bed after a good soak in your hot tub. My favorite time to spend in the hot tub is very early in the morning before anyone else in the house is up. I slip in just as the sun is rising and I have it all to myself. Again, it melts away all the body stiffness that I feel upon waking. I just love the peace and solitude of being outside on a cold, silent morning, sipping my coffee and enjoying some ‘me’ time before I start my busy day and then again at the end of my busy day before bed.
